On the Water

August has been a good month for being on, in, and near rivers.  I've been lucky this summer to have fished in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.  There is something about naturally moving water that works on the soul.  After a while, I'm completely relaxed and content.  Sleep comes easy and peaceful with the sounds and smells of streams.

The top picture is the North Umqua, in Oregon.  The next is the Skagit River, close to home.

The third picture is of my buddy, Mick, on the Yakima River.  The last is of the Damdochax River in B.C.

Here's a little video from the N. Umqua...You have to turn your head.
